Jill Forbes, A-CNP, GS-C  Founder/Owner

Jill Forbes is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and has been working with patients since her college years. She first worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Burke Health and Rehab during one summer while she was attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she obtained her Bachelors degree of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation from college, she worked as an RN, charge nurse and preceptor in the ICU at Virginia Hospital Center for five years. She received her Masters degree in Nursing from the collaborative school of medicine from George Washington University Medical School and George Mason University. Jill then went on to work as an Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for an Internal Medicine practice for ten years. She then joined Virginia Internal Medicine in 2015. She rounded at multiple facilities which included assisted living, long-term care and subacute care. Jill was nominated for one of Prince William County's Best NPs in 2018. 

 

In May of 2019, she received her Autonomous Practice License from the Virginia Board of Medicine which allows her to work without a supervising physician. Due to her Geriatric interest, she also recently became a Certified Gerontological Specialist (GS-C) so she could further her knowledge to care for elderly patients.

 

Jill enjoys spending time with her family, two daughters, friends and keeping fit. She is always ready to engage in sports related conversations and enjoys shopping and traveling too!

Dr. Rosemarie Kormanec, AGPCNP-BC

Dr. Rosemarie McCahill Kormanec is a Doctorally trained and credentialed Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She is a healthcare provider with over 37 years of experience in outpatient health care, hospital-based care, managed care, public health, data analysis, analytical tool development, undergraduate and graduate level education. Her passions include providing care of older adults, patients with chronic health conditions, Medication Assisted Treatment and streamlining processes for continuous quality improvement.

 

As the lead nurse practitioner for Mason and Partners (MAP) Clinics she provides direct health care , leads program development, electronic medical record design, telehealth care, data analysis and onsite support for clinical Covid-19 testing and vaccination. Rosemarie earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Masters of Nursing Administration degree from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Georgetown University.

 

She is the mother of two children (27, 30) and resides in Vienna, Virginia with her husband and Black Lab Bella. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to the beach and spending time with family.

Genesis Brown, AGNP-C

Genesis Brown is a certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner. She earned her Associate degree in nursing from Northern Virginia Community College in 2013. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science from Old Dominion University in 2015. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Nursing Science from George Mason University in 2019. Genesis joins the Forbes Wellness team with over 10 years of healthcare experience. She spent 6 years working as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at Virginia Hospital Center. She served as a charge nurse, preceptor, and chair of the ICU education committee. In 2018, Genesis met Jill Forbes, who served as her preceptor during her training as a nurse practitioner. She has spent the last three years working closely with internal medicine and urology patients as a nurse practitioner for our nation's Veterans. She served as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioners and co-chair of the NP mentoring committee.   

 

She is dedicated to providing compassionate evidence-based care to all of her patients. She values meaningful patient connections and the importance of quality-based medicine. She is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners

 

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and serving her local community.

Sarah Poissant, RN
Patient Care Director

Sarah Poissant graduated from nursing school in 2014 as a Registered Nurse and began her career as a Critical Care Nurse in the Neuro/Stroke Unit at Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. Her husband's military career in the U.S. Air Force moved her and her family to Albuquerque, NM. Next, she joined the Lovelace Healthcare Systems Resource Team as a Resource Nurse, sending her between 3 different hospitals to provide nursing care in the Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit, Neuro/Stroke Unit, Orthopedic Floor, Medical/Surgical Floor, and Rehabilitation department. In 2019, Sarah and her family relocated to Virginia where she began her nursing journey with Hospice Care in both in-patient and out-patient settings as a Registered Nurse Case Manager and Assistant Clinical Director. Sarah has a passion to provide exceptional care to her community inside and outside of work, as she also devotes time as a medical volunteer with the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps. Sarah is proud to be a part of the Forbes Wellness, LLC team as their Patient Care Director and contribute to the ongoing superior care this practice provides.

Jennifer Prokop
Executive Assistan

Jennifer Prokop began her career in wellness right after graduating from Bishop Ireton High School working as Front Desk Coordinator at Serenity Day Spa and Wellness Center in Old Town, Alexandria. From this she was inspired to pursue skin care training in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon her return to Northern Virginia she practiced as a Medical Esthetician specializing in Photorejuvenation and Laser Hair Removal. In 2010 Jennifer took the opportunity to Manage and Operate a Full Service Medical Spa in Lorton, VA. This role led to her to take the position as Office Manager at Mount Vernon Internal Medicine, a large and busy practice with four office locations giving her the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of providing administrative support in primary care medicine. 

 

In 2017 Jennifer & her family relocated to her husband’s home state of Nebraska. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two children and takes any opportunity she can to travel back home to Alexandria to visit her parents and friends. Jennifer enjoys taking body weight strength training classes and continues to stay current on all the latest in skin care treatments and products.
